Shri S.K. Sinha, CHAIRMAN (AGL)
SHRI SANDEEP MAHESHWARI, DIRECTOR
Shri Sandeep Maheshwari is a Mechanical Engineer from NIT Kurukshetra, MBA (Mktg) and a Gold medallist in MBA (International Business) from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade , New Delhi. With a career spanning over 3 decades at HPCL, he has held various leadership positions.
Shri Sandeep Maheshwari, as ED-Retail, has led the nation’s 2nd largest retail network of over 23,000 Retail Outlets (including 1850 CNG fuelling stations) & 3600 plus EV Charging Stations.
His responsibilities encompassed the entire spectrum of Retail Business, Supply Chain Management, Digitization, Productivity Improvement, Market Share Improvement, Business Development, Renewable Energy, Innovations, Employee and Stakeholder Management. In his current role as the Executive Director – Corporate Strategy & Business Development, his vision is to transform HPCL into a diversified, resilient, future ready energy Company with global footprints.
Ms. Sonia Madan, DIRECTOR
Ms. Sonia Madan is a senior professional with over 28 years of experience in GAIL (India) Limited and is currently serving in the Corporate Affairs Department.
She oversees Corporate Governance of Group Companies of GAIL, including Joint Ventures and Subsidiaries, and plays a key role in equity planning, performance monitoring, and strategic restructuring initiatives, driving value creation and alignment with corporate objectives.
She has also handled diverse Information Technology related assignments, leading to digital adoption, process automation, and innovation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. She has experience in handling cutting-edge technologies and adapting them to meet organizational needs. Her tenure in the Vigilance Department contributed to strengthening internal controls and improving business processes.
Ms. Madan holds a B.Tech in Electronics & Communication and is also a Law graduate (LLB). She has also attended a customised Leadership Development Programme at Oxford University, UK, and brings strong techno-legal acumen with a focus on governance and execution excellence.
SMT. ANJANA SANJEEVA, DIRECTOR
Smt. Anjana Sanjeeva is a Cost & Management Accountant by profession & MBA (Finance) with Gold Medal from Maharaja Sayaji Rao University of Vadodara (Gujarat). She has rich & varied experience of working in Finance & Accounts of Gas processing Units, Gas Trading & Gas Pipeline Transmission installations.
Smt. Anjana Sanjeeva has joined GAIL (India) Ltd., a Central Public Sector Undertaking (CPSU), in 1993 and has over 30 years of experience in Finance, Taxation, Budgetary control, Cost Management, etc. She has headed Finance function of O&M of Gas Processing Units, Pipeline Transmission and various Pipeline Projects.
Smt. Sanjeeva is currently working as Head of Finance of GAIL’s Maharashtra Regional Headquarter.
SHRI Indrajit Dasgupta, DIRECTOR
Mr. Indrajit Dasgupta is a distinguished member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). He is appointed as Director on the Board of Aavantika Gas Limited (AGL) with effect from 30th September, 2024. He brings with him rich and varied professional exposure of more than 28 years across various spectrum of Downstream Oil Company. He has held various key challenging assignments in HPCL in the field of Corporate Finance, Treasury, International Trade, Risk Management, Marketing Finance, SBU Commercials & Internal Audit. Presently, he is the Executive Director – Marketing Finance of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd from 1st Aug 2023.
His career journey includes significant roles in Corporate Finance, where he was involved in strategic financial planning and decision-making; Treasury, where he managed the company’s liquidity and financing activities; International Trade & Risk Management, where he worked on identifying, assessing and mitigating financial / operational risks associated with HPCL’s global trading operations. By implementing robust risk management frameworks, he helped safeguard the company’s interests in a complex and fluctuating global oil market, ensuring business continuity and profitability.
Additionally, his contributions to the SBU Commercial functions have helped enhancing operational efficiencies & streamline financial processes, enabling HPCL’s SBUs to optimize resource allocation, improved decision-making and ultimately contributing to achieve both growth and sustainability in highly competitive sectors. In his current position as ED – Marketing Finance, he has always been focused on the financial aspects of marketing strategies and business operations.
As a part of AGL Board, Mr. Dasgupta thus brings a wealth of knowledge and a forward-thinking approach to his leadership.
SHRI PANKAJ BHAGAT, MANAGING DIRECTOR
Shri Pankaj Bhagat took charge as Managing Director in Aavantika Gas Limited w.e.f. 19th January, 2024. He has been graduated as a Chemical Engineer from NIT, Tiruchirappalli, PGD-PE and also did MBA.
Sh. Bhagat carriers over 30 years of rich experience across the Natural Gas value chain in GAIL(India) Limited. He has been instrumental in promoting NG retailing models such as LNG/LCNG in Metal & Minning industry to expand consumption of Natural Gas in step with the vision of Government of India.
He has also worked in various roles across domains in GAIL including Gas Marketing, Gas Transmission, Petrochemical Marketing, City Gas Distribution (CGD) Business, Retail-LNG, Regulatory & Contract-legal functions.
Before Joining AGL, Sh. Bhagat was the Managing Director of Andhra Pradesh Gas Distribution Company Limited (APGDC) and its subsidiary Godavari Gas Private Limited (GGPL).
SHRI RAJESH JAIN, DIRECTOR (COMMERCIAL)
Mr. Rajesh Jain has been appointed as a Whole Time Director on the Board of Aavantika Gas Limited (AGL) with effect from 16th May, 2023.
Mr. Rajesh Jain is B. Com (Hons), Chartered Accountant, Bachelor of Law, PGDAM (HR) and also holds a Master degree in Business Administration (MBA), with specialization in Finance.
Mr. Rajesh Jain has joined Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) in July, 1993 and has rich and diverse experience of 30 years appx. in the field of Internal Audit, Head Compensation Management, Head Commercial, Retail Finance, Taxation, Zonal Finance, Payroll, Strategy implementation, Capability Building etc. Also held various senior level positions in Audit, Gas & Renewables (Commercial), other Finance positions and also handled various HR assignments.
Presently, Mr. Rajesh Jain is General Manager (Finance) in Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and is on deputation in AGL as Director (Commercial).
Mr. Rubin Yohannan Panicker
Mr. Rubin Yohannan Panicker is a senior business leader with over 28 years of experience in India’s energy and petrochemical sector. He holds a Master of Business Administration in Marketing Management and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical from Pune University.
He has played a pivotal role in establishing GAIL Polymers in the Indian market, contributing to its growth into a leading industry player through strategic planning and execution. He has also been actively involved in the development of natural gas pipeline infrastructure in Indore, supporting early network creation and demand development.
Mr. Panicker brings extensive expertise in managing end-to-end supply chains for polymers and liquid hydrocarbons, including contract structuring, stakeholder coordination, and logistics optimization to drive efficiency and reliability.
With wide-ranging experience across pan-India operations, he is known for his governance-led approach, focus on operational excellence, and ability to drive market expansion through strong stakeholder engagement.
Mr. Rubin Yohannan Panicker assumed charge as the Managing Director of Aavantika Gas Limited with effect from April 25, 2026.
Mr. Vicky Agrawal
Mr. Vicky Agrawal is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, bringing over 18 years of extensive and diverse experience across multiple business verticals. He has built a distinguished career at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), where he developed deep expertise across several key functional areas.
His professional journey encompasses commercial roles in the marketing of aviation, automotive, and LPG fuels, along with gas sourcing and marketing through city gas distribution networks. In addition, he has contributed significantly to pipeline projects, procurement, and finance & accounts. This wide-ranging exposure highlights a strong blend of financial acumen and operational insight within the energy sector.
Mr. Agrawal assumed charge as Director (Commercial) of Aavantika Gas Limited on 16th April 2026. In this role, he is expected to play a pivotal part in driving the company’s growth, strengthening commercial operations, and enhancing overall organizational excellence.
