GAIL has laid Jagoti- Pithampur gas pipeline (16" dia) of a length of 110 KM including a spur line of length 7.00 KM connectivity for City Gas Distribution project of Indore i .e up to GAIL's City Gate Station (situated in Sector-E, Sanwer Road Industrial Area, of Indore City) . AGL has further laid pipeline of 10" dia from up to AGL's Mother Station and extended it, right up to the Indore-Ujjain high way to facilitate further net work distribution inside city of Indore. The low pressure natural gas transported through above 10" steel pipeline to CNG "Mother" Station. from GAIL's City Gate Station (CGS) for compression. There are several cities and towns which are lying close to gas pipelines of GAIL in Madhya Pradesh. Feasibility of city gas distribution projects in Gwalior and Ujjain cities in Madhya Pradesh in under study.AGL is planned to distribute PNG (piped natural gas) to industrial, commercial and domestic sectors and CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) to transport sectors, with the Main objective of addressing environmental concerns and provide cleaner, economical and environment friendly fuel. AGL has started CNG sales in Indore in the Month of September '2008 and the CNG business is slowly picking up. AGL has also commissioned one outlet at Ujjain & start ed CNG sales in February'2009.
The operations of the Company will spread to other cities of Madhya Pradesh. in future, in accordance with gas availability and demand scenario and subject to techno-economic feasibility. |
